Newfoundland and Labrador is the latest province expected to pull American products from its liquor stores.
Premier Andrew Furey posted on social media this afternoon that he will pull the products from NLC stores by Tuesday.
U.S. President Donald Trump followed through on threats of significant tariffs on imported goods from Canada. The 25 per cent tax takes effect Tuesday.
Other provinces, including Nova Scotia, Ontario and B.C., have made similar moves.
It is tough to understand why the U.S. would want to hurt its own people as well as Canadians with these unprecedented taxes on critical products we provide. But as the federal government has made clear, Canadians are stronger together – and we will not back down. pic.twitter.com/vAE9vrfHRF
