RCMP in Port aux Basques were called to the Marine Atlantic ferry terminal about a suspected impaired driver in the lineup to board the ferry.
The 51-year-old provided breath samples that were more than three and a half times the legal limit.
Meanwhile, RCMP in Bay Roberts arrested a 36-year-old man for impaired driving after responding to a report of a vehicle stuck in a snow bank in North River.
The driver failed a roadside breath test and was arrested at the scene. He later provided breath samples that were more than twice the legal limit.
Both drivers were released to appear in court at later dates. Both had their licences suspended and their vehicles seized.
