The Pharmacy Association of Newfoundland and Labrador is marking Pharmacy Appreciation Month with a new digital campaign entitled Ask a Pharmacist – We Can Help With That!

President of PANL, Dr. Ashley Waghmare says pharmacists can treat a wide range of minor ailments including UTIs, taking people out of health care waiting rooms.

“The number of UTIs that have we have assessed and prescribed for has become quite high, and that’s just one way we’re helping keep people out of ERs, out of doctor’s offices, out of walk-in clinics.” That, says Waghmare “helps the whole system, it helps the patient and it helps the health care system.”
