A man has been charged after assaulting someone in downtown St. John’s yesterday.
RNC were called over the supper hour by a man who said he was assaulted by a man unknown to him.
Nearby sheriff’s officers were able to hold the suspect while waiting for police to arrive.
The 39-year-old was taken into custody on charges of assaulting a peace officer, breach of release order, and breach of probation.
He’ll appear in court today.
