The next phase of a multi-year project to make some significant changes to a busy intersection in St. John’s is now underway.

The end result of the project will be a roundabout at the Portugal Cove Road-Major’s Path-Airport Heights Drive intersection.

The project started last year with upgrades to a section of Major’s Path, including a widening of the road and a new sidewalk.

Now, work has started on the replacement of a large culvert on Airport Heights Drive. That work will be ongoing until some time in the fall.

The entire project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2026.
