Progress is being made on a new school for Kenmount Terrace to replace Larkhall Academy and Leary’s Brook Junior High according to government.
The tender has been called, but the timeline for completion is unclear.
Education critic Paul Dinn questioned the minister responsible for infrastructure, Elvis Loveless, but he would not commit to any timelines for occupancy.
Loveless says the soil will be moving very soon.
The school will include pre-kindergarten to grade 7. The facility will be a 3-storey building, approximately 11,500 sq. m. with 44 classrooms.
