No arrests have been made, and the investigation is continuing into the theft of the Amelia Earhart statue in Harbour Grace.

Residents of the town were shocked on the morning of April 24th when they woke up to news that thieves made off with the bronze statue sometime overnight.

The theft sparked an outcry from people across the province with the RCMP saying numerous tips have been received and investigated, but the statue is still missing.

The provincial government recently announced funding for the town that will go towards a replacement.
