Police have laid charges in connection with a hit-and-run involving an off-road vehicle and a child in Torbay.
The incident happened at 3:00 in the afternoon two Fridays ago in the area of the Bauline Line, east of the Kevin Parsons Highway – also known as the Torbay Bypass. The ATV, with three young people on board, had passed a school bus that was stopped on Bauline Line with the stop signals activated.
As the machine passed the bus, it struck a child who had just stepped off and was crossing the street. It then left the scene.
The child suffered minor injuries.
The RNC have laid numerous charges against two people: a 14-year-old boy and his father, who is 49.
