It was a record-breaking year for the Health Care Foundation’s Brunch with the Bags, an event that raised more than $158,000 in support of women’s health care in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The 17th annual event, held on the weekend at the Delta Hotel in St. John’s, attracted more than 300 people for a sold-out afternoon.
Proceeds raised will support the introduction of robotic-assisted surgery, with a focus on gynecologic oncology—an option that offers faster recovery and better outcomes for women facing complex cancer diagnoses.
