RCMP in Springdale have arrested a 43-year-old man in connection with a stabbing at a home in Triton on Sunday.

Officers were contacted around 5:00 Sunday afternoon and spoke to the alleged victim who suffered minor injuries.

Police located the suspect, Preston Roberts in a vehicle parked at a cabin in Kippens Ridge around 7:30 that same evening and arrested him.

A knife and quantity of suspected crack cocaine was also located and seized by police.

Roberts is charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

His next appearance is set for July 30th. The investigation continues.
