Several teenagers duped and sexually assaulted by Markus Hicks spied on him for several months to bolster a case for his arrest.

The group of boys, aged 15-17 at the time, didn’t think police would believe them, so they went about collecting their own evidence, watching Hicks’ house and trying to contact others who came and went.

It turned out they had more than enough between them, which they learned after one of their fathers caught wind and called police himself, in August of 2023.

Hicks pleaded guilty Monday to 54 of the more than 200 sexual violence charges involving dozens of victims, mostly male teens.

The teacher and coach passed himself off as women on two dozen apps, luring strangers, and his own students, to his Paradise home for blind sex through a gloryhole setup.

All said they would never have consented had they known it was a man, let alone, Mr. Hicks, on the other side.

But the students eventually put two and two together, namely the address and his vehicle, leading to their realization and the charges.

Stated one of the teens: “I consented to oral sex from a 16 year old girl, not a 30 year old man.”

Hicks returns to court in November for the sentencing phase, when the judge will hear from victims, lawyers regarding sentence, and possibly Hicks himself.
