Paradise has some thinking to do as it ponders an expansion of recreational infrastructure.
It has most of the amenities of a large suburban town, but not a swimming pool. It commissioned an engineering study to come up with a design and cost, but a top-of-the-line facility would cost in the range of $67-million according to the Shoreline News, which obtained a copy of the Stantec report.
The town went to the people to see what they thought, and many cited a pool as being one of their priorities.
Mayor Patrick Martin says they are not going to rush into anything.
He says council will make a decision in the years to come once they have all the information in front of them.
