A well-known businessman in central Newfoundland has passed away.
Frank Howard’s business enterprise started when he moved to Grand Falls in the 1960s to run a Mercury dealership.
When a General Motors dealership became available in 1970, Howard established Riverview Chev-Olds – a business he ran for the next 55 years.
Howard also ran a property management company, owned the crab plant in Little Bay Islands and also served on Newfoundland Power’s board of directors.
He was a member of the Rotary Club of Grand Falls. He served on the board of the College of the North Atlantic and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese and supported the South and Central Health Foundation as well as the Lionel Kelland Hospice, where he passed away on New Year’s Day at the age of 91.
