Two men are facing charges following separate domestic disturbances in St. John’s and Paradise yesterday.

A man has been charged with assaulting his wife and her son at a residence in the east end of St. John’s. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of a 49-year-old. RNC charged him with two counts of assault, and overcoming resistance by choking. He will appear in court today.

Meanwhile, a man is being held for court after a domestic disturbance in Paradise yesterday in which his wife was assaulted. RNC officers, who responded around mid-afternoon, were told by her that her husband had assaulted her and then left. They tracked down the 33-year-old man and charged him with assault.
