The number of people who used one of the province’s EV rebates last year has dropped significantly.
During the 2025-26 fiscal year, some 572 rebates were issued, down from nearly 768 in 2024-25 and 750 the year before.
As of late last year, the province had some 2,080 electric vehicles and some 948 plug-in hybrids, which government says is nearly a fraction of all vehicles registered in the province.
The province says some 8,697 vehicles are also registered as a hybrid vehicle.
