A man is facing weapons-related charges after an assault at the Health Sciences yesterday evening.

RNC was called to the hospital just before 8 p.m. and spoke with several witnesses who were able to identify the man responsible.

A search of the area turned up empty, but it wasn’t long before another call came in about an incident involving the same man.

He was arrested without incident in the area of Topsail Road.

The 29-year-old has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, causing a disturbance and breaches.
