RCMP have arrested a man in connection with a string of break-ins in the Grand Falls-Windsor area.
The 45-year-old was arrested in the early morning hours on Thursday during beefed up RCMP patrols in the area of Earle and Duggan streets where a string of break-ins had previously occurred.
Police conducted a search of the man’s property and evidence was collected in connection with the thefts.
He was charged with break and enter and damage to property and was released on conditions – including a curfew – to appear in court at a later date.
Officers were unable to locate the man during a police check shortly after midnight Friday. He later showed up at the detachment and was arrested and charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.
He was held to appear in court.
