Premier Tony Wakeham is not offering any sort of indication as to his plans for a referendum on the Churchill Falls MOU now that the review panel’s report has been received.
Wakeham promised during the fall election to hold a public vote on any final deal with Quebec, but no details on those plans have been made public.
To repeated questions from reporters earlier this week looking for that information, Wakeham repeated the same message.
“The first thing I’m going to do is get a deal, my focus right now is strictly on getting a deal.”
