Two acts from this province picked up wins during the first round of East Coast Music Awards, which were handed out last night in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Kelli Loder earned Songwriter of the Year, while The Order of the Precious Blood won Loud Release of the Year.

The gala also featured performances from Loder and Nick Earle and The Reckless Hearts.
The ECMAs continue through the weekend with 36 awards to be presented in total before wrapping up Sunday with the Industry Awards.
