There was a ruckus on George Street in the wee hours which began inside a bar and spilled out onto the street.
Police on patrol came upon the disturbance involving several men at about 1:00. The subsequent investigation revealed that two men had assaulted another inside a bar. They charged a 32-year-old and a 29-year-old with assault, causing a disturbance, and resisting arrest.
A separate incident on George also resulted in an arrest. In that case, a woman who was a customer was causing problems at a bar. The 32-year-old has been charged with causing a disturbance, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
