The minister of housing says he will make sure that the AG’s recommendations made as a result of her audit report on Horizons 106 are followed.
Joedy Wall told reporters today that any new solution to house people in need of transitional housing will follow the public procurement process.
“Had the former Liberal administration done their homework, and properly planned, they would not be in this situation today. But this was a knee jerk reaction at the time and we called that out while in opposition.”
Wall says they don’t know what facilities or accommodations could have been made, because the public procurement process was never employed.
“We don’t know what other options were out there at the time” says Wall.
