The Town of Cartwright has secured a meeting with the provincial government, after protesting throughout the day yesterday at the site of the now-halted school project.
The mayor, councillors and residents stood outside Henry Gordon Academy for the better part of yesterday, demanding a meeting with government over the cancellation of the new school.
In an update on Facebook, the town says it will no longer block the contractors who were securing the site, but want to make sure their meeting is in-person with Infrastructure Minister Barry Petten.
The town says it will continue to work to find a solution for the 57-year-old school.
