A former Mayor of Twillingate has passed away.
Gordon Noseworthy passed away on Monday in hospital in Gander. He was 83.
Noseworthy was born in St. John’s, but settled in Twillingate in the late 1960s.
He worked as a linesman with Newfoundland Power and after moving to the mainland in the 1990s, came back to Twillingate to serve as the Harbour Master for more than two decades.
He also served as Deputy Mayor and held two consecutive terms as Mayor.
Donations in his memory will be forwarded to the Twillingate Volunteer Fire Department.
