There is a wildfire burning near Labrador West.

The fire, which started yesterday in the area of Emerillon Lake South, is listed as being between 8 and 10 hectares in size.

Two waterbombers and three helicopters began working on the blaze last night, and suppression efforts are continuing today with air and ground crews.

While the fire is currently listed as being out of control, officials do not anticipate substantial growth or spread under current weather conditions.
