The MHA for Harbour Grace-Port de Grave says she’s been fielding calls about increased criminal activity in the region following a serious incident in Harbour Grace last week.

A portion of Harvey Street was closed to traffic on Friday as part of a police investigation.

RCMP issued a release seeking information on a pickup truck related to the investigation.

There are unconfirmed reports that an arrest has been made.

MHA Pam Parsons, who is the Opposition critic for justice, says people are concerned.

“I’ve been on the phone…all morning speaking with residents who are concerned….for their safety…because of the activity that residents are witnessing first-hand.”
