The RNC charged a man with firearms offences stemming from an incident at Cochrane Pond yesterday.
Officers conducting patrols and using drones in the park on Sunday noticed a man walking along a road while carrying two firearms.
The man was not seen using, or brandishing the firearms.
Police located and arrested the 68-year-old man without incident.
A .303 rifle and BB gun were seized and the accused was charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm without a licence.
