The annual Maritime and Arctic Security and Safety Conference kicks off today at the St. John’s Convention Centre.
The event, which brings together delegates from across the country, looks at what is needed in order to advance Canada’s security and sovereignty in northern and maritime environments.
Premier Tony Wakeham will deliver the opening address this morning at 8:30.
The conference runs until Thursday.
