A third person has been arrested and charged in connection with a home invasion in Harbour Grace earlier this month.
The RCMP were called to a home in the town just after 4:00 a.m. on July 3rd. Three people forced their way inside and used a weapon to assault a resident.
Police say the suspects and victim knew each other, and that the incident was targeted.
On Monday, 33-year-old Jerry Lee-Welkisch was arrested on charges of robbery, breaking and entering, and aggravated assault. He appeared in court yesterday.
Two others, 44-year-old Christopher Bursey and 36-year-old Steven Clowe, were arrested in connection with the incident earlier this month. Bursey was released on conditions last week, while Clowe is still in custody and will appear in court again next month.
Meanwhile, 39-year-old Travis Hunt has been charged with attempted murder after a pick-up truck struck a person outside a second location, which police believe was retaliation for the break-and-enter.
