The RCMP is continuing its search for a man charged with first-degree murder following the death of a man in Happy Valley-Goose Bay three years ago.

Forty-three-year-old Franz Drosch was found dead in the community on August 4th, 2023, and a homicide investigation was launched.

Two months ago, a Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for 30-year-old David Faucher in connection with the case.

Police believe Faucher, who is originally from Quebec, may have travelled – or is attempting to travel – to Mexico.

The accused is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, is about 190 pounds and has brown eyes.

He is believed to have been driving a 2026 Chevy Silverado, with Quebec licence plate FTV 8960.

Investigators are renewing their calls for information into the case, and are urging anyone with information to contact them.
