The town of Gander is inviting residents to take part in a community safety planning session set for next week to discuss matters raised in a recent survey.
Residents raised issues surrounding night-time safety and enforcement, road and sidewalk maintenance, traffic and speeds, improved lighting, the maintenance of vacant lots and ensuring safe and welcoming public spaces for families.
Residents are invited to join town officials to talk about the priorities identified and “explore practical ways” to improve safety in the airport town.
Two public sessions are planned at the Steele Community Centre – one next Thursday evening and another next Friday morning.
