The Department of Justice is conducting an internal review of financial and administrative processes at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary after “financial irregularities” were identified at the facility.
In a statement issued to VOCM News, the department says Susan Green was appointed as Acting Chief Superintendent of Correctional Facilities on August 12th, replacing Dan Chafe.
The Office of the Comptroller General has been contacted as part of the review process and the Auditor General has also been notified.
The department is not releasing any further information at this time.
