One person was injured as the result of a two vehicle crash on the Lourdes Road near Piccadilly yesterday.

The collision forced the temporary closure of the road.

Emergency responders were called to the scene around 6:30 yesterday morning about two kilometres north of Piccadilly.

Both drivers were assessed at the scene, one of whom suffered minor injuries.

Traffic was detoured for several hours while officials cleared the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
