Four young curlers have been awarded scholarships through Curling Canada.
Former Team NL Brier alternate Nicholas Codner and national champion Hayley Gushue were recognized both for excellence in the game, and their academic work at Memorial University.
Meanwhile, metro-area skips Zachery French and Megan Blandford were both awarded the Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship for their dedication to the sport both on and off the ice.
Curling Canada says each of the award winners will receive $2,500-$3,500 toward their education at Memorial University.
