The new President of Memorial University’s Faculty Association is welcoming new and returning students to Memorial University.

Erika Merschrod says while its an exciting time, it can also be intimidating.

The one piece of advice Merschrod can offer, particularly to first year students, is don’t be afraid to ask for help.

“Your instructors are here to help,” says Merschrod, “my biggest words of advise for people starting now is not to be afraid of reaching out to professors for help.”
