The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary nabbed a motorcycle driver over the Labour Day weekend who was flying down the Team Gushue Highway at 80km/h over the posted speed limit.
The driver was stopped after police clocked the vehicle at 160 km/h in the 80 km/h zone, which police say was the most egregious instance of speeding they saw during their long weekend enforcement blitz.
In total over the weekend the RNC charged four people with impaired, issued 246 tickets, and suspended five licenses.
