A 25-year-old man, who was wanted by RCMP in Harbour Breton, is facing numerous charges after surrendering to police in Gander Bay.
An arrest warrant was issued by RCMP Wednesday evening after officers from the Harbour Breton detachment tried to pull over a vehicle which was being driven dangerously.
The vehicle involved was unregistered and uninsured and the driver was known to have a suspended licence.
When officers tried to talk to him, he hopped back in the vehicle and sped away.
Tristan Hart was arrested without incident in Frederickton, later that same evening.
He’s been charged with flight from police, dangerous driving, assaulting a police officer with a weapon and resisting or obstructing a police officer.
He was held to appear in court.
