The Rocky Harbour town council is warning residents about an aggressive black bear in and around the neighbourhood.

The town says, normally, black bears are not aggressive but this one has already displayed behaviour that left a couple of residents uneasy.

A trap has been set up, and officials are asking people not to allow their children and pets outside unsupervised.

The town is also asking residents to keep their garbage stored properly.
