A 55-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving after blowing three times the legal limit following a hit-and-run in Old Perlican Thursday evening.
Police were called after someone reported that a vehicle had crashed into their car in a parking lot and left the scene.
The caller reported that the other driver, whose name and description was supplied to police, appeared to be impaired.
RCMP found the suspect at a home in Old Perlican and he was arrested without incident. Breath samples collected at the detachment were three times the legal limit.
He’s now facing a charge of impaired driving and he was issued tickets for failing to stop at the scene of an accident, driving with a suspended licence and driving without insurance.
He’s scheduled to appear in court in December.
