Opposition Natural Resources critic David Brazil says there are real concerns that full transmission from Muskrat Falls could be delayed indefinitely due to continued problems with GE’s software.
Nalcor issued an update Friday indicating that GE’s progress on the Labrador Island software is slower than planned and the company is “working towards delivery” in 2020.
Brazil says the problems GE was having were well known and an extended delay is possible.
Some engineers are telling them that warnings were given and Nalcor needed to be more proactive.
