A Corner Brook man with a warrant out for his arrest didn’t get very far after being located by the RNC K9 unit.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. RNC received a tip that the man was in the Elizabeth Street area, but when they arrived he fled on foot.
A K9 officer and police dog tracked him down a short time later in a wooded area near Pratt Street.
The 37-year-old was arrested and charged in two counts of theft, fraud and failure to appear. He was held for court.
