Paul Lane says the Liberal government has lost the moral right to govern.

Former Deputy Minister Gordon McIntosh was involved in government’s Advance 2030 plan, and went on to accept a salary of $350,000 annually with a Nalcor in a position created for him.

Independent MHA Paul Lane says government is taking advantage or weak and conflicting pieces of legislation.

He says there is a one-year period in which a pubic office-holder should not be hired by government or any crown corporation, but that cabinet can waive that requirement at any time.

Lane says while in terms of legislation there was technically no wrongdoing, he questions whether or not government has morally lost its way.
