A 32-year-old man is in custody after he assaulted a woman with a shovel yesterday evening in St. John’s.
RNC were called to a location on the west end of the city around 7:15 p.m. where they located a man and a woman.
The man was arrested for assault with a weapon, in this case the shovel, mischief to property and uttering threats.
The woman sustained minor injuries.
The man will appear in court today.
