When St. John’s city councilor Dave Lane resigns from his position with the city of St. John’s in December, living a private, family oriented life will be his main focus.

Last Sunday, Lane took to social media to announce that due to having a second child on the way, he and his family have bought a house in Torbay to settle down, and that he will be leaving his position with the city at the end of the year.

When asked about the possibility of running for town council in Torbay Lane never said no, but notes that his community involvement will likely revolve around family.

The reason they are moving is for the children, so the way we will see Lane get re-involved will likely be through sports and other community activities his kids are involved in.
