Liberals to Officially Open Nominations for Leader, and Premiership, Today

The official call for nominations for leadership of the provincial Liberal Party is coming this morning.

Rules for leadership candidates will be released this morning at 9:00.

Dwight Ball suddenly announced last week his intention to step down as Premier and leader of the provincial Liberal Party, pending the outcome of a leadership contest. To date, no candidates have come forward.

Liberal Party President John Allan will address the media this afternoon at noon.
