The Crown has not yet decided whether to appeal the not guilty verdict in the case of Philip Butler.
Butler was charged in the death of his brother, George Allan Butler, in Conception Bay South in May of 2017.
A jury found him not guilty on all counts midday on Saturday.
Neither Butler nor his lawyer has made any comments about the verdict.
