Former Minister of Labrador Affairs says he’s frustrated with how the province is removing important jobs from the region.
Nick McGrath says they’ve lost three out of five wildlife officers and two out of three occupational health and safety officers.
McGrath says in an area where mining is a major industry, this is a concern.
He also says they have no assistant deputy minister, no deputy minister, no executive director and what feels like no minister at all as it seems the Premier has just shut the lights off for the Labrador Affairs office.
McGrath adds that although the portfolio is small, it’s important, especially to those who live in the region. He wonders why the Premier even took the file in the first place.
