The critically acclaimed Between Breaths in Concert is coming to St. John’s for one night during it’s national tour.
Between Breaths written by local playwright, Robert Chafe, is the true story of Dr. Jon Lien who was well known in Newfoundland as the Whale Man.
Dr. Lien pioneered techniques to rescue whales trapped in fishing nets. He saved the lives of over 500 animals.
Lien passed away in 2010, after battling progressing immobility and dementia.
Between Breaths goes backwards in time, from Liens final moments to his first whale invention.
The concert takes place Thursday, March 12th at 8:00 p.m. at the D.F. Cook Recital Hall.
