After much speculation, Health Minister John Haggie will not be seeking the Liberal leadership.
Haggie says he is humbled by all of those who reached out and encouraged him to run for the leadership.
To those that have reached out to encourage me to run for the Liberal Leadership, Thank You. I am truly humbled. After careful consideration, I have decided to not run, & focus on serving the ppl of my District. We have excellent candidates so I know the Party is in great hands!

He says after careful consideration, he has decided not to run and focus on serving the people of his district in Gander.
The Health Minister adds that there are excellent candiates, and the party is in good hands.
