Managing Director of Abacus Data, Tim Powers says given the political climate, it spells good news for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Trudeau has faced heavy criticism for his handling of the rail blockades, but Powers says this is likely some welcome political news. As for coronavirus, Powers indicates Trudeau’s government seems to be getting passing marks for now.

That may change depending on what happens as the virus settles in Canada, but as of now, Canadians feel like they are well-served.
Powers says 80 per cent of Canadians polled are paying close attention to the outbreak. Meanwhile, 42 per cent believe it will be a global pandemic, which will result in the deaths of many.
