Just a few hours to go until the deadline to declare nominations for the leadership of the Liberal Party.
It’s looking more and more like a two-person race as Jamie Fowlow, a resident of the west coast, decided yesterday morning not to run.

He had been positioning himself for a run at the post and had a team in place but on Thursday decided not to.
The deciding factor for him was when musician Alan Doyle came out in support of Andrew Furey. Fowlow says he is also throwing his support behind Furey.
John Abbott is the only other candidate.
